The Kabaddi team of Gujarat Giants (GJG), formerly known as Gujarat Fortune Giants (GFG) is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It became a franchise of the Pro Kabaddi League in season 5 (2017). They never won a single season but they were the runner-up in PKL season 5 (2017) and season 6 (2018) against Patna Pirates and Bengaluru Bulls. The team plays their home matches at the EKA Arena by TransStadia, Ahmedabad. The Giants is currently led by Sunil Kumar Malik and coached by Manpreet Singh.
Manpreet Singh retired from sports as a player in 2015. He was also a coach in Punjab State Kabaddi Association from 2015 to 2019. He also received the Dhyan Chand award on August 29th, 2020 at National sports day.
From the very first season that Gujarat Giants played, this team shows that it is one of the strongest teams in PKL.
