The Kabaddi team of Puneri Paltan (PNP) is based in Pune, Maharashtra. They never won a single season of Pro Kabaddi. But they were the runner-up of PKL 2022 Season 9. The team plays its home matches at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Puna, Maharashtra, India. PNP is currently led by Surjeet Singh Narwal and coached by Anup Kumar.
Anup Kumar was an Indian professional kabaddi player just before starting his career as a coach. He also served in Haryana state as a Deputy Commissioner of Police. He was a part of the Indian National Kabaddi team, who won two gold medals in the Asian Games of 2010 & 2014. They also won one gold medal in the South Asian Games of 2016 and the Kabaddi World Cup of 2016. He also won the Arjuna award for his brilliant performances.
