Before the start of every PKL season, an auction takes place. In which every team buys some players to build up their squad according to their best analysis. But even before the auction, all the 12 franchises of the Pro Kabaddi League released some players that they didn’t want in their squads anymore. While some players got retained by the teams before the auction. After that, all those released players along with the others will go under the hammer.
The player’s auction of Pro Kabaddi League 2023 Season 10 will be going to be held in Mumbai from October 9th to 10th. A total number of 500+ players (domestic and international) will go under the hammer and the 12 teams will battle to sign them in.
Before PKL Auction 2023, a total number of 169 players were released by all 12 teams. From which the Bengal Warriors and Gujarat Giants are at the top of the list in releasing the most number of players. Bengal Warriors and Gujarat Giants have released a total of 19 players.
The Most Prominent players who were released from their respective teams include Abhishek Singh (U Mumba), Vikash Khandola (Haryana Steelers), Deepak Hooda (Jaipur Pink Panthers), Surjeet Singh (Tamil Thalaivas) and Parvesh Bhainswal (Gujarat Giants).
Other players who were captains of their teams but were let go ahead of the PKL Season 10 are Nitin Tomar (Puneri Paltan), Joginder Narwal (Dabang Delhi K.C.), and Rohit Kumar (Telugu Titans).
Stars like Mohammad Nabibakhsh (Bengal Warriors), Surender Nada (Haryana Steelers), and Fazel Atrachali (U Mumba) were also released as well with their respective teams looking to Refresh things up ahead of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season 10.
PKL Auction Season 10 will see players from Domestic, Overseas, and New Young Players (NYPs) groups being divided into four categories: A, B, C, and D. These players are then further subdivided into three groups All-Rounders, Defenders, and Raiders within each category.
The base prices for each of the categories are Category A – INR 30 Lakhs, Category B – INR 20 Lakhs, Category C – INR 10 Lakhs, and Category D – INR 6 Lakhs.
The total Salary Purse available to all franchises for its squad for PKL Season 10 is INR 5 Crores. PKL 2023 Season 10 Player Pool has been expanded to 500+ including 24 players from the top 2 teams of the Khelo India University Games 2023.
All these released players will be added to the auction pool and can be bought by any of the 12 teams during the 2-day auction.
