The Kabaddi team of Dabang Delhi (DBD) is based in New Delhi. It is a franchise of the Pro Kabaddi League from Season 1. They became the PKL champions in 2021-22 by defeating Patna Pirates. They were the Pro Kabaddi Vijeta of Season 8. They also were the runner-up of PKL season 7 in 2019 against the Bengal Warriors. The format of the Pro Kabaddi League consists of more than 130+ matches with two eliminator rounds, two semi-finals, and a final. This league will be played in the format of the double robin-round where each team will play 22 matches in the league stages.
The top 6 teams will qualify for the knockouts while the four teams in the bottom of the qualified teams will face each other in the eliminator 1 and eliminator 2 rounds. Afterward, the eliminator’s winners will face the top two qualified teams of knockouts in the semi-finals. Then the final will be played between the winners of the semi-finals to win the title of Pro Kabaddi champions.
How Does the Pro Kabaddi Points Table Work?
The Pro Kabaddi points table works in the following way:
- 5 points will be given for a win.
- 3 points will be given for a tie.
- 1 point will be given to the losing team if the margin of defeat is equal to or less than seven points.
- Zero-point will be given to the losing team if the margin of defeat is more than seven points.
